Best Historical Actor In A Classic Movie

Chamberlain was a colonel in charge of the 20th Maine Regiment that held the right flank of the Union Army. He captured extremely well the scene when Chamberlain convinces a group of disgruntled Union soldiers to enter the fight under his command. They had refused to fight in a previous conflict and had been ordered to be shot if necessary. Chamberlain was able to bring them around with his own form of motivation and strong words. Daniels presents the deep thinking preacher turned into a Union officer in a human light, with his wise character and quiet personality.

This episode of Chamberlain’s life was well acted, due to Daniel’s talent and acute research. It is one performance that gives a feel for a famous historical figure.
